O'Flaherty Family Reunion Page
Date: June 25, 2005
Location: Lake Anna, VA
Our cousin Margaret owns a quite sizable lake in Virginia and has graciously offered to hold the reunion there this year. (That is quite a lake Margaret!)
From Margaret: “The boat (Editors note: the cruise ship "Margareeeet") holds 17 people comfortably. Yes, you can dive from the front with stair entrance in the rear. We have a jet ski (for those over 16), nice dock with shade and sunning, diving and swimming in a quiet cove. Plenty of grills and fridges. If someone wants to camp we have an acre to throw up a tent. Badminton, volleyball, croquet, bocce (lawn bowling); bring toys for water activities. Lake Anna is a clean man-made lake and we have a State Park which has a swimming area and new cottages to rent. We have several campgrounds in the area with bath facilities.
Wanted to let you know there are TWO Rt. 719's off of 522. Go to second 719 which is just past the Christopher Run Campground. If someone is coming from Thornburg, they can make a right on Rt. 601 before going over any bridges (Follow the State Park signs) The first left after the park is Rt. 612 which brings you into Comfort Lane from the other side. A good landmark from either direction is a White Estate Fence at the entrance to Comfort Lane."

From Margaret: “Take Days Bridge Rd (RT-719) off Zachary Taylor Highway (RT-522) and follow it across North Anna River until it becomes Comfort Lane, then take a right onto Rose Valley Drive, followed by a left onto Rose Hill Trail. 5303 is last home on left."
